Honeywell

Honeywell's origins date back to 1885, originally named Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Company, primarily producing thermostats. In 1927, it merged with Honeywell Heating Specialty Co. and officially changed its name to Honeywell. Its headquarters are currently located in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Honeywell is a diversified high-tech manufacturing company renowned for developing the world's first DCS system, the TDC-2000. Its business spans aerospace, industrial automation, building automation, energy, and sustainability.

Throughout its development, Honeywell has expanded its business scope through continuous acquisitions of industry-leading companies. Key acquisitions include:

In 1995, it acquired Measurex Corporation, a company specializing in paper machine control equipment, enhancing Honeywell's entry into the paper and pulp industry. In 1998, it acquired the security systems business of Westinghouse Electric Company. In 1999, it acquired the renowned security monitoring company C&K Systems, strengthening its position in the building automation sector. The same year, Honeywell was acquired by AlliedSignal, a U.S.-based diversified industrial conglomerate, solidifying its status as a diversified industrial giant. However, the agreement stipulated that the Honeywell brand would continue to be used. In 2000, General Electric (GE) attempted to acquire Honeywell, but the deal failed due to antitrust issues.

In 2005, it acquired British First Technology for $555 million, enhancing its gas detection business. In 2015, it acquired British gas meter and heating system manufacturer Elster, and in 2016, it acquired warehouse automation company Intelligrated. In 2020, it acquired quality management software company Sparta Systems. In 2025, it acquired pump and compressor manufacturer Sundyne, strengthening its energy and sustainability business.

Through continuous mergers and acquisitions and technological innovation, Honeywell has consolidated its global leadership position in industrial automation, aerospace, smart buildings, and energy transition. In the future, the company will continue to expand its business around automation, digitalization, and sustainability. Its current main product lines include:

1. Aerospace Technology
