Bently Nevada
Bently Nevada was founded by Don Bentley in 1961 and is headquartered in Minden, Nevada. It is a leading supplier of industrial equipment condition monitoring and protection systems. Its products are used to monitor the mechanical condition of rotating equipment across various industries, including oil and gas production, hydro and wind power generation, hydrocarbon processing, papermaking, mining, and wastewater treatment.
In 2002, Bently Nevada was acquired by General Electric and became part of General Electric's Oil & Gas division. In 2017, GE acquired Baker Hughes and merged it with its Oil & Gas division to form Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE). Due to business development, GE adjusted its ownership stake in Baker Hughes, which subsequently positioned itself as an independent energy technology company. Bently Nevada continues to operate as a subsidiary of Baker Hughes.
Bently Nevada has made significant contributions to the industrial asset protection and equipment condition monitoring market. It launched the 5000 series monitoring products in 1965; the 1700 series in 1973; the 9000 series in 1975; the 3300 series in 1988; and the 3500 series in 1995. Currently, Bently Nevada's main product lines include the following categories:
1. 3300 XL Series Eddy Current Sensors
Used to measure parameters such as vibration, displacement, and rotational speed, suitable for monitoring rotating machinery. Includes probes, preamplifiers, and extension cables, supporting various sizes and measurement ranges.
2. 3500 Series Mechanical Protection Systems
Used for continuous online monitoring of machine status and providing automatic protection functions, such as shutdown protection. Includes various modules, such as vibration monitoring, temperature monitoring, relays, communication gateways, I/O modules, etc.
3. Sensors and Transmitters
Includes eddy current sensors, speed sensors, acceleration sensors, etc., suitable for various hazardous and extreme industrial environments.
