Function & Application

The DS200TCPDG1B is a power distribution module within the General Electric Mark V system. Located at the <PD> position within the control system, it is responsible for distributing 125 VDC power to the TCPS boards located within the various I/O cores, the control engine core, and the TCEA boards. The TCPD board features switches that allow for the independent disconnection of power to each individual core. While the digital I/O cores do not draw power directly from the <PD> position, the DTBC and DTBD solenoid output terminal boards—which are situated within the digital cores—are powered directly by the TCPD board. The 120/240 VAC power required for the ignition transformers connected to the DTBC board is also supplied directly by the TCPD board. Furthermore, the CTBA terminal board receives power from the TCPD board to facilitate the monitoring of power outputs.

  • J1R/J1S/J1T/J1C/J1D — Distributes 125 VDC power to the TCPS boards.
  • J7W — Distributes 125 VDC power to the TCTG boards.
  • J7X/J7Y/J7Z — Distributes 125 VDC power to the TCEA boards.
  • J8A/J8C — Distributes 125 VDC power to the DTBC boards.
  • J8B/J8D — Distributes 125 VDC power to the DTBD boards.
  • J12A/J12B — Distributes 125 VDC power to the DTBA boards.
  • J15/J16/J19/J20 — Typically unused.
  • JPD — Distributes power to the CTBA board located at the <R5> position; this power is utilized by the <R5> position to monitor the AC and DC power outputs of the <PD> position.
  • JZ1 — Connects to the TCEA board and provides an external resistive voltage-drop loop for contact input power. JZ2 — Receives incoming AC power from the TB1 terminal board and routes it via JZ2 to the DACA (AC-to-DC Converter); the specific connection is established through the JZ connector located within the DACA enclosure. This interface serves to facilitate the AC-to-DC power conversion function. JZ3 — Serves as an alternative interface to JZ2, intended for use when the special contact output circuit (specifically, contact output No. 18 on the DTBC board of the <Q51> device) requires a lower voltage.
  • JZ4 — An auxiliary AC power connection point, dedicated to applications requiring an isolated input for connection to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and/or a switched backup power source. It is typically used to connect a "black start" inverter.
  • JZ5 — The standard AC power connection point for the ignition transformer.
  • J2R/J2S/J2T/J7A/J12C/J17/J18 — Typically not used.
