HIMA F8621A is a Coprocessor Module. The F8621A itself is not a standalone controller but rather an auxiliary processing module and communication processor that must be used in conjunction with central processing unit modules. Its core function is to expand the communication and data processing capabilities of F-series safety controllers, serving as a bridge between the controller and upper-level management systems, operator stations, and other control systems.
The F8621A coprocessor module primarily includes: – Microprocessor HD 64180, clocked at 10 MHz – Operating system EPROM – RAM for PLC main program storage
Primary functions include: – 384 KB static memory, CMOS-RAM, and EPROM distributed across two ICs. RAM battery buffer on the F 7131 power supply monitoring module. – 2 RS-485 (half-duplex) interfaces with electrical isolation and integrated communication processors. Transmission rates (software-configurable): 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 bps, or values set via DIP switches on the CU. – Dual-port RAM for rapid access to the second central module's memory.
