Function & Application
The A6500-CC is a single-slot, plug-in Modbus and rack interface module within the AMS 6500 ATG machinery protection system. This module reads parameters from all AMS A6500 ATG modules and outputs these parameters via Modbus TCP/IP and/or Modbus RTU (serial) interfaces. The A6500-CC communication card also supports the OPC UA protocol for transmitting data to third-party systems. The module operates in conjunction with other AMS A6500 ATG monitors to construct a comprehensive machinery protection and monitoring system—for instance, by receiving sensor data acquired by A6500-UM measurement cards and transmitting it to a higher-level control system. This communication card is widely deployed in applications involving steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, and hydraulic turbines. The A6500-CC communication card features a 3U form factor, effectively reducing the cabinet installation space required by half compared to traditional 6U-sized cards. The communication card complies with the API 670 standard and supports hot-swapping capabilities as well as SNTP time synchronization. Furthermore, the module incorporates built-in self-diagnostic functions to monitor hardware status, power input, and hardware temperature in real time. It is equipped with an SD memory card to support the predictive diagnostics capabilities of the AMS 6500 ATG system.
