A VibroSmart system consists of one or more measurement modules, each containing up to 16 VibroSmart modules, a power supply, and an optional host computer running VibroSight software. The VibroSmart module consists of an electronic module, VSV301 600-034 (providing configurable mechanical monitoring capabilities), which snaps into the VibroSmart terminal base mounted on a DIN rail. The VSB300 600-009 VibroSmart terminal base integrates the bus and connectors to provide all the I/O connections required to connect to the VibroSmart module. The terminal base also includes non-volatile memory to store the configuration of the connected VibroSmart module, enabling hot-swapping. The module and terminals are mechanically key-coded, making system operation simple and easy to use.
The VibroSmart® Distributed Monitoring System (DMS) is a modular, scalable product system designed for condition monitoring and machinery protection applications in power plant turbines, oil and gas applications, and auxiliary equipment. VibroSmart® modules can be directly mounted on machinery, reducing the need for expensive cabling. The modules are capable of operating under extreme conditions, such as harsh industrial environments, including potentially explosive gas atmospheres (Ex Zone 2), high temperatures (70°C, 158°F), and high mechanical stress. VibroSmart® complements Meggitt's VM600 Series rack-mount solutions in its vibro-meter® product line and is compatible with the same VibroSight® machinery monitoring system software. The VibroSmart® Distributed Monitoring System (DMS) is a network of small, economical modules that provide measurement, communication, or other functions. These modules are connected as a distributed network of measurement modules, providing functionality typically offered by rack-mount machinery monitoring systems. |
