The KUC711AE101 3BHB004661R0101 is a gate cell power module in ABB's IGCT series, primarily used to provide stable, isolated, multi-channel power to gate cells. The KUC711AE101 gate power module converts the input power from the control cabinet into various precision DC voltages required for gate cell operation. The KUC711AE101 gate power module provides multiple isolated outputs: +15V/5A, -15V/2A, and 24V/5A. +15V is used to turn on power devices, the negative voltage is used for rapid shutdown, and 24V typically powers the logic circuitry on the gate cell. This power module provides several kilovolts of electrical isolation between inputs and outputs, separating low-voltage control circuitry from the high-voltage main circuitry, protecting delicate control devices and ensuring operational safety. The module constantly monitors its own status and incorporates multiple protection functions, such as overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit, and overheat protection. Once an anomaly is detected, the fault signal can be quickly transmitted to the control system.
Application: It is used in ABB's critical medium- and high-voltage variable frequency drive systems, such as providing a stable power supply to the gate drive circuit in the power unit of the ABB ACS1000 series inverters; driving the gate unit in the drive system of the ABB ACS5000/6000 series inverters; and providing high-power DC power to the gate unit of the excitation system of the synchronous generator in the ABB AC800M excitation system. |
