The F8627X is a communication module designed specifically for HIMA safety instrumented systems, supporting the Secure Ethernet protocol and OPC DA. Its primary function is to enable secure communication between the HIMA H41q/H51q safety system and external devices via Secure Ethernet. The F8627X is equipped with a 100Base-T RJ45 interface, allowing connection to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, DCS (Distributed Control Systems), HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems, and other brands of PLC modules, achieving real-time and secure data transmission and exchange. The F8627X also supports various industrial communication protocols, such as the HIMA safety protocol, Modbus TCP/IP, PROFINET, OPC A&E, MODBUS-TCP slave, and ELOP II TCP. The F8627X communication module supports single-channel or redundant configurations. For redundant configurations, the following combination is used:
The HIMA F8627X module is widely used in industrial fields with extremely high safety and reliability requirements, such as offshore platforms, oil refineries, long-distance pipelines, and hazardous chemical production processes, to build emergency shutdown (ESD) and fire and gas (F&G) systems. It securely transmits safety signals from field gas leak detectors, emergency buttons, etc., to the logic controller and outputs commands to take emergency measures. It is used in critical safety control systems in nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, etc., for example, reactor protection and turbine emergency tripping. |
