Function & Details

The ABE040 204-040-100-011 is a VM600/VM600Mk2 system rack for mounting controllers, input/outputs, relays, condition detection, and power supply modules for the Meggitt VM600Mk2/VM600 series mechanical protection and/or condition monitoring systems. The ABE040 204-040-100-011 rack has a standard height of 6U and provides rack slots for up to 15 single-width VM600Mk2/VM600 module card pairs, or combinations of single-width and multi-width modules. The ABE040 204-040-100-011 system rack integrates a VME backplane for connecting installed VM600Mk2 and VM600 modules, including power supplies, signal processing, input/outputs, relays, and CPUx rack controllers. A power detection relay is also located at the rear of the rack to indicate whether the installed RPS6U rack power supply is functioning correctly.

 

The ABE04x system rack is available in two models: ABE040 and ABE042, differing only in the mounting bracket location. Different versions of the ABE04x system rack offer different mounting options. The system rack can accommodate one or two RPS6U rack power supplies. A rack equipped with a single RPS6U power supply (330 W version) can power the entire module rack and is suitable for applications operating at temperatures up to 50°C (122°F). Alternatively, the rack can be equipped with two RPS6U power supplies to support rack power redundancy or provide non-redundant power to the modules under broader environmental conditions. The processing module is mounted at the front of the rack, and the associated input/output modules are mounted at the rear. The input/output modules provide connectors for connecting sensors/measurement chains and sharing signals with external DCS and PLC systems.
