The 88TK05C-E GJR2393200R1220 is a bus coupling module in the ABB Procontrol system, primarily responsible for internal data communication and connecting to the upper-level bus. It often works in conjunction with the 88FT05 remote bus coupling module and the 88TB07B bus terminal module. The 88TK05C-E bus coupling module connects Procontrol stations to a remote bus, enabling communication between multiple control cabinets. This bus coupling module supports single-channel or dual-channel connections. When installed in an independent control system, it can perform the functions of a bus control module. The 88TK05C-E is equipped with a standard station bus interface and multiple interfaces for communication with various modules within the cabinet, facilitating data acquisition and transmission. Onboard self-diagnostics and alarm functions are included, and the front panel provides timely feedback on the bus module's power connection, bus transmission, fault status, and other operational conditions, facilitating problem detection and timely maintenance.

  • Connecting Procontrol to the Remote Bus: When the control system needs to upload data from various field cabinets to the central controller network, an 88TK05C-E module can be installed in each cabinet, connected to an 88FT05 remote bus coupling module, to transmit data to the central control system.
  • Dual-Channel Redundant Communication: In applications with extremely high communication reliability requirements, such as control stations in chemical plant reactors, the main control system's communication must be reliable. In this case, the 88TK05C-E can be configured in dual-channel mode. When one channel fails, the system can seamlessly switch to the backup channel for data communication.
  • Independent Control Systems Not Requiring External Communication: With all input/output modules within a single cabinet, and remote communication not required, the 88TK05C-E can act as a bus control module to manage data communication for all modules within the cabinet.
