| Function & Details |
The MMS 6220 is a dual-channel eccentricity monitor from Emerson epro, primarily used to process relative radial shaft vibration signals from eddy current sensors and monitor measurements such as peak-to-peak value, minimum/maximum value, etc. The monitor transmits the monitored signals to analysis and diagnostic systems for further processing in fieldbus systems, host systems, and networks. The MMS6220 monitor's parameters and operating modes can be configured via a laptop connected to an RS-232 interface. Configuration allows for visualization of measured characteristics, order analysis, and data from the last startup or shutdown, and these configurations can be changed at any time during operation. When a change is made, the monitor's measurement operation will be interrupted for approximately 60 seconds, and the alarm will reactivate after 60 seconds. The monitor automatically records and stores characteristic values from the last startup and shutdown, and its built-in electronics and sensors have self-testing capabilities. The monitor's RS-232 interface is used for configuring and reading measurement results; the RS-485 interface is used to connect to EPRO's MMS 6850 analysis and diagnostic system or host system. The monitor's internal module monitoring functions include:
During the transition from an error state to a normal state and after the module is powered on, all module functions of the MMS 6220 will be locked for 60 seconds. A green LED on the front of the module indicates the channel's normal status. In an error state, this LED is off and then flashes after a delay. The status of both channels is output to the rear connector via an optocoupler for electrical isolation. Maximum input voltage (Umax) = 48 V DC, maximum current (Imax) = 100 mA. The MMS 6220 monitor is compatible with EPRO PR642X series eddy current sensors.
