The IS220YDIAS1A is a Mark VIeS safety-rated discrete I/O module designed to convert field discrete signals (such as those from switches) into digital signals recognizable by the control system and to execute safety logic control.
Function
1. Receives discrete input signals from field devices (switches, relays, sensors, etc.) and converts them into signals recognizable by the control system.
2. Outputs control signals to field devices to facilitate startup, shutdown, and interlock protection.
3. Within the Mark VIeS system, it acquires safety interlock signals and participates in redundant logic and emergency shutdown functions.
