The IS220PSCAH1A is a multi-protocol serial communication gateway module within the GE Mark VIe control system. Its primary function is to convert Ethernet IONet data into RS-232/422/485 serial communication signals; it also supports Modbus TCP master functionality.
Function
1. Converts Ethernet signals into serial signals compatible with field devices.
The IS220PSCAH1A features an internal universal Mark VIe processor board and a 6-channel serial communication board, supporting RS-232 point-to-point communication, RS-422 differential long-distance communication, and RS-485 multi-point half-duplex networking.
2. Provides two RJ45 Ethernet ports to connect the module to the Mark VIe control network (IONet), enabling real-time data exchange between field devices and the control system.
3. Functions as a Modbus TCP Master, running Modbus TCP via an Ethernet port and supporting up to 18 Modbus nodes.
