The CVS100 is a vibration switch manufactured by Meggitt. This vibration switch integrates a vibration sensor, signal-processing electronics, and a relay into a single unit. It is designed to measure vibration velocity and provides a 4 to 20 mA analog output signal, a raw output signal of 100 V/g, and two alarm/relay outputs. Thanks to its integrated design, the CVS100 can be mounted directly on major mechanical components such as housings, bases, and/or bearing housings to monitor and protect mechanical equipment including fans, pumps, centrifuges, mills, and gearboxes. The CVS100 vibration switch is available in both standard and explosion-proof (Ex) versions.
Functions & Advantages
1. Vibration velocity measurement (Standard, Ex, M2, and LC models). Velocity measurement range: 10, 20, or 50 mm/s RMS (Standard and Ex models); 2, 5, 10, 20, or 50 mm/s RMS (M2 and LC models)
2. Displacement measurement (M2 type). Measurement range: 20, 50, 100, 200, or 500 µm PEAK (M2 type)
3. Frequency response: 10 to 1,000 Hz
4. All-metal housing (aluminum or stainless steel), capable of long-term stable operation over a wide temperature range of -30 to 70°C, suitable for harsh industrial environments and hazardous areas
5. Provides 1 or 2 alarm/relay outputs

Pay Attention:
1. A stainless steel housing (B02) is only available for the Ex (A02) version.
2. One output relay (C01) is only available for the LC (A09) version.
3. A screw-terminal connector (D02) is only available for the Standard (A01) and Ex (A02) versions.
4. Measuring direction is not applicable (E0) for the Standard (A01) and Ex (A02) versions; that is, these versions function in all directions and so can be freely installed with any mounting orientation.

1. What is the difference between the CV100 Standard Edition and the CVS 100 M2/CVS 100 LC?
——The Standard Edition offers excellent value for money and provides a wide range of options and configurations. The M2/LC versions are more cost-effective and practical. The M2 version measures speed (mm/s) or displacement (µmPEAK), provides a 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 20 mA analog output signal, and features two alarm/relay outputs. The LC version measures speed (mm/s), provides a 4 to 20 mA analog output signal, and features one alarm/relay output.
2. What is the purpose of the relay output function provided by the CVS100?
——After the CVS100 measures the velocity signal, it further processes this measurement to generate an analog output signal and a raw output signal. It then compares these signals against the set alarm/relay thresholds to trigger the output relay in the event of a signal anomaly or when otherwise necessary.
