Function & Details	The CE281 444-281-000-111 is a piezoelectric accelerometer featuring a centrally mounted, symmetrical shear-mode sensing element constructed from polycrystalline material. The sensor utilizes internal electronic circuitry for signal processing, thereby eliminating the need for an external signal conditioner (such as the IPC704 or IPC707). This internal circuitry also performs charge-to-current conversion, generating a current-modulated output signal suitable for long-distance transmission. The device is designed to monitor and protect machinery operating in harsh industrial environments and/or hazardous areas. The sensor head of the CE281 444-281-000-111 is hermetically sealed to the internal electronic circuitry via a low-noise, shielded internal cable, which is further protected by a flexible, leak-proof protective conduit (stainless steel hose). The sensor head, protective conduit, and electronics housing are fused into a single, integral unit using gas welding, providing comprehensive corrosion resistance to coolants, lubricants, water, steam, and other potential contaminants. Both the CE281 sensor element and its internal electronics feature integral case isolation from the housing; all variants are certified for explosion protection. The accelerometer offers a measurement sensitivity of 10 µA/g and a frequency response range of 3 to 7000 Hz, capable of continuous operation across a wide temperature range of −55 to 260°C (for the sensor section) and −40 to 125°C (for the electronics section).
