The CA202 144-202-000-105 is a piezoelectric accelerometer employing a symmetrical shear-mode polycrystalline measuring element. Its internal housing is insulated and sealed within an austenitic stainless steel casing, and it typically provides differential output. The CA202 accelerometer has a measurement sensitivity of 100 pC/g, a frequency response range of 0.5 to 6000 Hz, and can operate reliably over a wide ambient temperature range of -55 to 260°C. The CA202 144-202-000-105 accelerometer can be equipped with an integrated low-noise cable protected by a flexible stainless steel protective hose (sealed). This hose is gas-welded to the sensor, forming a sealed assembly. The CA202 piezoelectric accelerometer is available in several versions, including an explosion-proof version suitable for potentially explosive environments (hazardous areas) and a standard version suitable for non-hazardous areas.
Both the Meggitt CA201 and CA202 piezoelectric accelerometers are two-wire sensors suitable for vibration monitoring in extreme environments. Both have a sensitivity of 100 pC/g ±5%, are insulated, and are charge-output type, requiring an external charge amplifier. Both are explosion-proof certified. However, compared to the CA201 piezoelectric sensor, the CA202 has a wider usable frequency range (0.5 Hz to 6000 Hz), making it more suitable for high-frequency vibration monitoring. The CA202 also has a higher measurement limit (400g), capable of withstanding greater vibration shocks, while the CA201 can detect weaker vibrations. If the primary measurement is of vibration in conventional industrial equipment with relatively high intensity, or if monitoring higher frequency vibrations is required, the CA202 is a suitable choice. |
