The AMC10Mk2 is a temperature monitoring and analysis module within the VM600Mk2 system, principally responsible for analog-to-digital conversion and the efficient analysis and processing of temperature signals acquired by the IOC10Mk2 input/output module. The module occupies a single slot in the VM600Mk2 rack, is installed at the front of the rack, and connects directly to the rack's backplane via two connectors. The AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 module supports various configurations for both single-channel and multi-channel processing and measurement. Single-channel processing can be configured for measurements of temperature, position, and custom quasi-static signals; multi-channel processing can be configured for measurements of temperature differentials, displacement differentials, custom quasi-static differentials, and mathematical functions derived from any combination of sensors. Each input channel of the AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 module supports the configuration of one measurement item, allowing for a maximum configuration of 10 single-channel processing modules or 5 multi-channel processing modules per module pair. For each processing module, one processed output data stream is provided, along with the ability to retrieve average, minimum, and maximum values over a specified time interval. The AMC10Mk2 supports the configuration of alarm functions involving limit values, hysteresis, and time delays; configurable alarm inputs include sensor integrity checks, measurement alarms (such as Danger+, Alert+, Alert−, and Danger−), and/or associated data quality indicators (status bits). AMC10Mk2 Connectors and Status Indicators DIAG/STATUS: Multi-color LED used to indicate the status of the AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 module—e.g., normal operation, configuration status, or internal hardware/firmware faults. CH1 to CH10: Multi-color LEDs used to indicate the status of the measurement channels (CH1 to CH10). LOCK: LED used to indicate the locked (secure/protected) or unlocked (maintenance) status of the AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 module. LAN: 8P8C (RJ45) modular jack (female). The LAN connector features Link and Activity indicator LEDs used to display the status of system LAN (Ethernet) communication, as well as communication with a computer running VibroSight® software. The AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 constitutes a temperature and analog monitoring module pair within the second-generation VM600Mk2 rack-based machinery monitoring system; specifically, the AMC10Mk2 serves as the processing module, while the IOC10Mk2 functions as the input/output module. These two modules must be used in tandem and are designed for installation in either the standard VM600Mk2 system rack (ABE04x) or the slimline rack (ABE056), providing 10 measurement channels for machinery protection and condition monitoring within the VM600Mk2 system. Within the VM600Mk2 system, the AMC10Mk2 + IOC10Mk2 temperature and analog monitoring modules are primarily deployed in applications involving a large number of slowly varying analog signals—such as temperature and other process variables.
