The 07KT97 is a central processing unit (CPU) in the ABB Advant Controller 31 distributed automation system. It can be used as a bus master for the AC31; as a slave (remote processor) in the Advant Controller 31 distributed automation system; or as a standalone basic unit. The 07KT97 basic unit is powered by a 24V DC power supply.

  • 8 independently configurable analog inputs, ranges including 0...10 V, 0...5 V, ±10 V, ±5 V, 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA, differential input, Pt100 (2-wire or 3-wire), analog inputs can also be individually configured as digital inputs
  • 4 independently configurable analog outputs, ranges including ±10 V, 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA
  • 2 counters with counting frequency up to 50 kHz, configurable in 7 different operating modes
  • 1 CS31 system bus interface for system expansion
  • 1 interface for connecting communication modules (e.g., 07 KP 90)
  • 2 serial interfaces COM1, COM2, used as MODBUS interfaces, and for programming and testing functions
  • Real-time clock
  • LED indicators for displaying operating status and errors
  • Removable screw terminal blocks
  • Can be screw-mounted or snap-mounted onto a DIN rail
  • A lithium battery 07 LE 90 can be inserted into the battery compartment to store and back up user programs in RAM, and other data contained in RAM, such as flag status, backup time and date (real-time clock)
  • RUN/STOP switch for starting and stopping program execution
  • Extensive diagnostic functions, self-diagnosis of the basic unit, diagnosis of the CS31 system bus and connected modules
  • Integrated Flash EPROM for storing programs and data
  • Replaceable SmartMedia card 07 MC 90 for storing user data or updating the operating system or PLC program
