The CV214 110-214-000-012 is a velocity sensor from Meggitt Vibro-Meter that is primarily used to measure absolute vibration at low frequencies; it requires the ED121 dedicated cable assembly and is specifically designed for vibration monitoring of low-speed machinery such as hydroelectric and steam turbine equipment. The CV213 sensor is similar to the CV214 in structure and performance; the only difference is that the CV213 is suitable for higher-temperature environments.
Main Functions & Features
1. The sensing element of the CV214 sensor consists of a coil wound around a permanent magnet. The voltage generated by this structure is proportional to the vibration velocity. The sensor has a frequency response as low as 10 Hz and can be connected directly to monitoring electronics without the need for additional signal conditioners or power supplies, making it ideal for portable measurement applications.
2. The CV214 supports multiple mounting orientations and features a military-standard connector on the side. Equipped with an anodized aluminum housing and a sealed, waterproof connector, it withstands humid and corrosive environments. With an IP64 protection rating, it is suitable for use in hazardous and potentially explosive atmospheres.
3. It operates stably over the long term within an ultra-wide temperature range of −29 to 121°C (−20 to 250°F).
