The CV213 110-213-000-012 is a velocity sensor primarily used to measure low-frequency absolute vibrations. It is suitable for vibration monitoring in various low-speed industrial machinery, such as hydroelectric generators and steam turbines. When used with a cable assembly, the sensor can be directly connected to monitoring equipment without the need for additional signal conditioners and power supplies, enabling portable measurements. The CV213 110-213-000-012 has a frequency response as low as 10 Hz, an IP64 protection rating, and can operate continuously over a wide temperature range of -29 to 204°C (-20 to 400°F). It is certified for use in potentially explosive environments.
The CV213 110-213-000-012's anodized aluminum housing and waterproof, sealed connectors enable it to withstand humid and corrosive environments. The sensor's sensing element consists of a coil rotating around a permanent magnet, which generates a voltage proportional to the vibration velocity. The ability to generate a signal without an external power supply makes these sensors highly versatile. Each speed sensor comes with a dedicated cable assembly. The ED120 assembly is used for the CV213, and the ED121 assembly is used for the CV214. The CV213 and CV214 sensors are similar in structure and performance; the only difference is that the CV213 is suitable for high-temperature environments.
