Function & Application
The TQ912 proximity sensor is a high-quality, high-reliability sensor that requires the EA902 extension cable and IQS900 signal conditioner for use. It offers either voltage or current output and is designed for non-contact measurement of relative vibration and axial displacement in turbines, compressors, pumps, and fans. The TQ912 (111-912-000-011) is available in two ranges: 2 mm range: 8 mV/µm or 2.5 µA/µm; 4 mm range: 4 mV/µm or 1.25 µA/µm; operating temperature: -40 to 180 °C; Ø8.2 mm probe; reverse mounting allows for long-term use in high-temperature and/or hazardous areas (potentially explosive environments). The TQ902 and TQ912 sensors have the same specifications and performance characteristics but are designed for different mounting methods: the TQ902 is a standard mounting sensor, while the TQ912 is a reverse mounting sensor. The TQ912 111-912-000-011 sensor features the following:
  • 2 or 4 mm measuring range (Ø8.2 mm sensor)
  • Operating temperature -40 to 180 °C, IP68 protection rating
  • 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, or 5.0 m integrated coaxial cable
  • Certified for use in potentially explosive environments
  • Compliant with API 670 Fifth Edition
