The MVI56E-MNET Modbus TCP/IP client/server enhanced communication module enables Rockwell Automation® ControlLogix processors to easily connect to Modicon Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) and a wide range of Modbus TCP/IP compliant instruments and devices. Enhancements to the MVI56E-MNET include local and remote configuration and diagnostics via the module's Ethernet port, and CIPconnect® technology for bridging Rockwell Automation ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks. The MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT are functionally identical. The MVI56E-MNET is designed for standard process applications. The MVI56E-MNETXT is designed for the Logix-XT™ control platform, enabling it to operate in extreme environments. The MVI56E-MNETXT can withstand higher operating temperatures and features a conformal coating to protect it from harsh or corrosive environments.
