IS420UCSBS1A is a GE Mark VIeS Safety Controller. The GE UCSB controller is a standalone, single-board controller with scalable processing power. It has an internal power supply, requiring no external batteries or jumper settings.
The operating system features a real-time, multi-tasking design for high-speed, reliable industrial applications. It can be configured for simplex, duplex, or triplex redundant operation and supports incremental frame rates (10 milliseconds or slower) in any configuration. It provides three Ethernet ports for 100 MB communication with I/O modules (up to 199 per I/O network). Because synchronization is critical at these frame rates, UCSB synchronizes the local processor clocks on the I/O modules. The module also provides two additional 10/100 MB Ethernet ports with RJ-45 connectors on the network interface for point-to-point communication with other control systems on the control network, as well as operator and engineering workstations. TCP/IP and Ethernet Global Data are the primary communication protocols on the control network. Ethernet Modbus® supports third-party communications, and HSE supports FOUNDATION Fieldbus™. |
