| Function & Details | General Electric IS420UCSBH4A is a Mark VIe Controller. The UCSB controller is a standalone single-board controller with scalable processing capabilities. It features an integrated power supply, eliminating the need for batteries or jumper settings. The controller runs the ControlST* software suite, providing a universal software environment for turbine and generator excitation control in power islands and auxiliary plant equipment, ensuring simple operation and maintenance.
The operating system can be configured for single, dual, or triple redundant operation and runs at an incremental frame rate (10 milliseconds or slower) in any configuration. Three Ethernet ports are provided for 100 MB communication with I/O modules (up to 199 ports per I/O network). The network interface provides two additional 10/100 MB Ethernet ports with RJ-45 connectors. These ports enable point-to-point communication with other control systems on the control network, as well as operator stations and engineering workstations. TCP/IP and Ethernet Global Data serve as the primary communication protocols on the control network. Ethernet Modbus® supports third-party communication, while HSE supports Foundation Fieldbus™.

Within the GE EX2100e regulator system, two independent UCSB controllers can be configured to manage exciter control inputs/outputs and implement protection functions.
