Functions
1. IGBT Gate Drive Control: The IS200ERDDH1A precisely manages gate signals sent to power electronic components, ensuring the reliable execution of switching operations within the drive system.
2. Dynamic Discharge Protection: The ERDD board performs a dynamic discharge function to regulate excessive DC bus voltage, dissipating the magnetic field energy generated by the excitation windings as heat through an onboard discharge circuit.
3. Bridge Status Monitoring and Feedback: The IS200ERDDH1A monitors DC bus voltage, output shunt current, output field voltage, rectifier bridge temperature, and IGBT gate drive status in real-time.
4. Bridge RTD Temperature Monitoring: If the bridge temperature exceeds a set threshold, the system issues an alarm and initiates load reduction or a protective trip, depending on the situation.


ERDD & ERIO
The ERDD and ERIO are two critical, functionally complementary boards within the EX2100 excitation control system. The ERIO collects field signals and status feedback, transmitting them to the DSPX for control analysis; the ERDD board converts the DSPX's analysis results into actual drive actions for the IGBT excitation bridge and executes dynamic discharge protection during abnormal conditions.
