The IS200EDCFG1A is an Excitation DC Feedback (EDCF) board used within the General Electric EX2100 excitation control system. This feedback board is responsible for measuring the excitation current and excitation voltage at the SCR bridge and communicates with the EISB board located in the control cabinet via a high-speed fiber-optic link.

Signal Process

As illustrated in the figure on the left, the IS200EDCFG1A connects to the system's 24 VDC power supply. Utilizing its onboard frequency converter and DC-to-DC converters, it generates various DC output voltages—specifically ±24 VDC, ±15 VDC, and +5 VDC—which provide the essential power required for the entire circuit board's operation and feedback functions, while also contributing to the stability and accuracy of signal transmission. Furthermore, as depicted in the figure, the SCR bridge supplies excitation voltage and current to the IS200EDCFG1A feedback board; after being processed by the onboard amplifiers, these signals are transmitted via a fiber-optic link to the EISB board, where they are utilized by the central processor for excitation control.
