The IS200EAUXH1A is an auxiliary I/O interface board for the GE EX2100e excitation control system, serving as a digital controller component within the thyristor-based excitation system.

Functions

1. Auxiliary I/O signal aggregation: The EAUX board provides interfaces for analog and digital signals used to monitor, control, and protect the generator excitation circuit and peripheral equipment. Examples include EBAC (AC feedback), EDFF (DC field feedback), EDEX (de-excitation), and EXAM (ground detection).
2. High-speed communication with the main control processor.
3. Direct control of the EDEX board to execute de-excitation actions.
4. Analog I/O expansion, featuring 12 input channels.

Singal Process

As shown in the diagram on the left, the IS200EAUXH1A is located in the "Internal I/O" area on the right and connects to control channels M1, M2, and C via three HSLA links. Four internal daughterboard signal paths feed into the EAUX:
EBAC board: Acquires AC-side voltage and current feedback from the thyristor bridge.
EDFF: Acquires DC field-side feedback.
EXAM: Ground detection feedback.
EDEX: Provides feedback on thyristor conduction status and receives de-excitation commands from the EAUX.
Once feedback signals are aggregated at the EAUX, they are transmitted via three HSLA links using the HSSL (High-Speed ​​Serial Link) protocol to control cores M1, M2, and C for voting; the UCSB/CSLA then closes the control loop via the HSSL Expander.
