The IS200DAMDG1A is a gate drive amplifier and interface board for the GE Mark VI system. Its primary function is to provide an interface connection between the control rack of an Innovation Series low-voltage drive and the IGBT power switching devices. The IS200DAMDG1A features onboard LED indicators that display the ON/OFF status of the IGBTs; this interface board connects directly to the gate, emitter, and collector terminals of the IGBTs, as well as to the IS200BPIA bridge interface board located within the control rack. The IS200DAM gate drive board is available in six distinct models, differentiated by the rated power level of the drive unit. Specifically, the DAMA, DAMB, and DAMC boards perform current amplification, providing the final-stage gate drive signals for one bridge arm of the drive's power bridge, and require a +15V/-7.5V power input. The DAMD and DAME boards serve solely as interface connectors; they do not perform amplification and therefore do not require an external power input.
