The IS200AEADH1A is an 8-channel relay output interface board for the GE Mark VI control system. Its core function is to drive coils using the system's low-voltage signal, controlling high-power load devices such as motors, solenoid valves, circuit breakers, and alarm circuits via onboard contacts. The IS200AEADH1A interface board also provides electrical isolation between the input terminals and the control system.
The IS200AEADH1A features eight electromagnetic relays (K1-K8). These relays have two contact configurations: K1-K4 are normally open, containing a common terminal (COM) and a normally open contact (NO). They are open when the coil is not energized and closed when energized, used to trigger alarm lights, start circuits, etc., when energized. K5-K8 are single-pole double-throw, containing a common terminal (COM), a normally open (NO), and a normally closed (NC) contact. COM and NC conduct when the coil is not energized, and switch to COM and NO conduction when energized, used for emergency stops, safety interlocks, and fail-safe circuits.
The IS200AEADH1A is also equipped with three surge suppression and protection components to absorb the back electromotive force generated when the relay coil switches on and off, suppress electromagnetic interference, and prevent burnout of contacts and the main control circuit. The circuit board features multiple interfaces and terminals, with the green terminals serving as field connection interfaces for connecting external loads, sensors, power supplies, etc. The black connector on the right is the communication interface with the main control system, used for transmitting control commands and status feedback. Through these electronic components, the IS200AEADH1A enables efficient data transmission and command execution between field devices and the control system, providing timely feedback on relay contact status and driving field actuators.
Application Cases and Experience： In the control systems of heavy rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, and large compressors, the IS200AEADH1A can be used for emergency shutdown protection. When the system detects abnormal conditions such as excessive vibration, excessive temperature, or abnormal pressure, the normally open contacts K1-K4 can promptly detect and trigger audible and visual alarms, and then achieve a safe shutdown by closing the normally closed contacts K5-K8 on the board. |
