Function & Details

The IQS900 signal conditioner is designed for use with the Vibrometer TQ proximity sensor, a non-contact proximity sensor/measurement chain based on the eddy current principle. It generates, converts, and processes the high-frequency modulator/demodulator signals from the TQ proximity sensor, converting them into current or voltage output signals suitable for transmission to monitoring systems. Designed and manufactured for long-term use, the IQS900 is available in standard and Ex versions certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (hazardous areas). It is also available with and without diagnostics, providing automatic, remote indication of the health/status of the measurement chain, ensuring accurate measurement results. The diagnostics (designed for SIL 2 compliance) increase reliability and significantly reduce risk. The conditioner provides dynamic output signals—current (-15.5 to -20.5 mA) or voltage (-1.6 V to -17.6 V)—suitable for advanced condition monitoring applications requiring spectral analysis, such as machinery analysis and diagnostics.

 

Note: The IQS900 is compatible with various TQ9xx (and TQ4xx) sensors and replaces all previous versions of the IQS45x signal conditioner (PNR 244-45x-000-xxx).
