The T8451 is a 24 Vdc, 40-channel digital output module in the ICS Triplex Trusted TMR safety control system. It is primarily used to output controller signals and drive field actuators.
T8451 Features
1. 40 TMR output channels
2. Triplicate measurements of current and voltage for each controlled output channel, enabling detection of open-circuit and short-circuit faults in field wiring and loads (short circuit, energized, open circuit/no load, de-energized, and no field power supply).
3. Overcurrent protection provided for each channel; no external fuses required
4. Equipped with an event sequence log function and supports hot-swapping; front-panel LEDs clearly indicate output and fault statuses.
T8451 and T8461
Both belong to the Trusted TMR digital output module series and are nearly identical in terms of architecture, diagnostic mechanisms, communication interfaces, and configuration methods; they are both based on a four-stage HIU/FIU/FTU/FPU structure, TMR triple voting, SOE, and other features. However, there are some differences in their applications:
1. The T8451 is specifically designed for 24 Vdc systems, with a supply voltage range of 18–32 V; the T8461 supports dual voltages (24 V/48 V), with a supply voltage range of up to 18–58 V, making it suitable for a wider range of voltage scenarios.
2. The T8451 has a single-channel rated current of up to 2 A, making it a medium-to-high-power digital output suitable for driving relatively high-current loads such as valves and contactors; the T8461 has a single-channel rated current of only 0.75 A, making it more suitable for low-current loads.
