The CON021 is an EPRO eddy current signal converter that is used with EPRO PR6423, PR6424, PR6426 and other sensor cables to measure radial and axial shaft displacement, position, eccentricity and speed/key in turbomachinery. It is designed for critical turbo machinery applications such as steam, gas and hydro turbines, compressors, pumps and fans.
The core function of the EPRO CON021 is to convert the raw high-frequency modulated signal generated by the eddy current sensor probe into a standard voltage or current signal that the monitoring system can recognize. The CON021 receives the raw signal from eddy current sensors such as the PR6422-PR6426 series, demodulates, amplifies, and filters it through internal circuitry, and outputs a standard signal proportional to the physical quantity. Furthermore, the CON021 allows for adjustment and calibration of the output signal based on the specific sensor model and the material properties of the measured object, resulting in more accurate measurements. The converter provides a standard electrical interface and communication protocol, facilitating integration with PLCs, DCSs, and TSI systems such as the EPRO MMS 6000/3000 series to jointly build a mechanical equipment monitoring system.
