The CA134 144-134-000-203 is a high-temperature piezoelectric accelerometer whose sensor uses a compression-mode measuring element, internally insulated and encapsulated in a high-temperature nickel alloy housing. The piezoelectric materials and design of the CA134 make it suitable for long-term vibration monitoring and measurement in harsh environments, such as gas turbines or cryogenic applications, and it can operate over a wide temperature range. The CA134 144-134-000-203 includes only the standalone sensor, but can also be equipped with an integrated mineral-insulated (MI) cable—CA134 144-134-000-612. This cable features double braid protection and a Vibro-meter® high-temperature connector. The sensor and cable are joined by gas welding to form a sealed, leak-proof assembly. Different cable assemblies can be used to equip the sensor depending on the environmental/temperature requirements of the application.
All versions of the CA134 high-temperature piezoelectric accelerometer are symmetrical sensors with an insulated internal housing. They typically provide differential output, have a sensitivity of 10 pC/g, a response frequency of 0.5 to 6000 Hz, and an operating temperature range of -54 to 500 °C / a low-temperature version of -253 °C (20 K) to 500 °C. All CA134 models are Ex-certified and can be installed in potentially explosive atmospheres and other hazardous areas. |
