The BC810K02 3BSE031155R1 is an ABB AC 800M CEX-Bus Interconnection Unit. The BC810K02 unit consists of two basic parts: a backplane (TP857) and a power/logic board. The backplane features a CEX bus connector and an external power interface, and is grounded to a DIN rail via metal components in the housing. The backplane also houses external power voting diodes and fuses. The power and logic board contains a +3.3V converter, logic circuitry, CEX bus interconnect drivers, and interconnect cable connectors. In a fully redundant system with two interconnected BC810s and a primary/standby CPU pair, the BC810 allows for in-line replacement of the CPU backplane without interrupting CEX communication. If a BC810 needs to be replaced, all traffic to the connected CEX bus segments will cease. The CEX bus is used to expand onboard communication ports via a communication interface unit. Redundant communication interfaces can also be used on the CEX bus. The BC810 CEX bus interconnect unit improves its availability by dividing the CEX bus into multiple independent segments. The BC810 is compatible with PM857, PM861A, PM862, PM863, PM864A, PM865, PM866, PM866A, PM867, and PM891. Advantages as below.
