Function & Details	AI845 is an Analog Input Module in the ABB S800 I/O System. It has 8 analog input channels and is suitable for single or redundant applications. When using MTU TU844 or TU845, each channel can be a voltage or current input; when using other MTUs, all channels become voltage or current inputs. The nominal input ranges are: 0(4)...+20mA, 0(1)...+5V. The module has advanced onboard diagnostics and performs self-diagnostics regularly. If an external power supply is used to power a HART transmitter, the power supply must be HART compatible. The module also has HART pass-through capability. Only point-to-point communication is supported. Module diagnostics include: External power supply, transmitter power supply, and external shunt errors. These errors are reported as external channel errors. Low-pass filter, multiplexer, and test channel. These errors are reported as internal channel errors. Analog readback, reference voltage, internal power supply, checksum, watchdog, and memory. These errors are reported as module errors.

The TU830/TU833 Extended MTUs enable three-wire connections to devices without additional terminals. The TU810 (or TU814) Compact MTUs have terminals for a 24 V process voltage input, but require external terminals to distribute the 24 V power to field devices. The Extended MTUs, TU835, and TU838, feature a single fuse (maximum 3 A) per channel for the process power output. The TU812 Compact MTU features a DSub 25-pin (male) connector for connecting to process devices. The TU818 Compact MTU enables connection to two-wire sensors without external wiring.
