The 330908-00-30-05-02-05 is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL NSv Proximity Probe. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. Compared to the 3300 RAM probe, the NSv probe offers greater chemical resistance, making it suitable for a variety of process compressor applications. The 3300 NSv probe also exhibits superior side-view characteristics compared to the 3000 Series 190 probe at the same distance from the probe target. The 3300 NSv probe is available in a variety of housing configurations, including armored and unarmored 1/4-28, 3/8-24, M8X1, and M10X1 probe threads. Reverse-mounted 3300 NSv probes come standard with either a 3/8-24 or M10X1 thread. All components of the sensor system use gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors. The ClickLoc connectors lock in place to prevent loosening.

 

The primary application of the 3300 XL NSv sensor system is in areas where the standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm sensor systems cannot be used due to limitations such as countersunk holes, side views, or rear views. It is also suitable for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration of shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 inches) or axial position of planar targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 inches). It is primarily used in applications involving hydrodynamic bearing machinery with small shafts or small side-view angles, including:

  • Radial vibration and radial position measurement
  • Axial (thrust) position measurement
  • Tachometer and zero-point speed measurement
  • Phase reference (key phase signal)

 

The 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor system is suitable for centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other equipment with stringent installation requirements. The 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor system includes: a 3300 NSv probe, a 3300 NSv extension cable, and a 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor. The 3300 XL NSv sensor system is designed to replace the 3300 RAM sensor system and 3000 Series or 7000 Series 190 sensor systems. Upgrading from a 3300 RAM system to the 3300 XL NSv system utilizes existing probes, extension cables, and monitoring systems, along with the 3300 XL NSv proximity sensor. Upgrading from a 3000 Series or 7000 Series sensor system requires replacing the probe, extension cable, and proximity sensor, and using the NSv components.
