It integrates the three electronic components—the probe, the extension cable, and the proximitor—into a single assembly. This design eliminates the need for a separate extension cable between the probe and its associated proximitor, allowing for direct field wiring connections between the monitoring instrument and the 330880 PROXPAC XL assembly, thereby obviating the need for an additional, standalone proximitor housing. The PROXPAC XL housing is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) material, replacing the steel and aluminum materials previously used for housings within the Bently Nevada product line. Furthermore, glass fibers and conductive fibers have been incorporated into the PPS matrix to enhance the structural integrity of the housing and to facilitate more effective dissipation of static charges, rendering the sensor highly resilient and well-suited for operation in harsh industrial environments.
