The 330301-000-016-10-90-01-00 is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL High Temperature Probe, 3/4-16 UNF threads. Gas turbines and steam turbines generate extremely high temperatures, enough to damage or destroy conventional proximity sensors. The 3300 High Temperature Proximity Sensor System (HTPS) is designed to withstand the extreme temperatures inside gas turbines, steam turbines, and other types of rotating machinery. HTPS measures vibration, thrust, position, differential expansion, and other parameters in the high-temperature regions of these machines. High-temperature applications include:

  • Near the labyrinth seals of steam turbines
  • Differential expansion in steam turbines
  • When the probe cable passes through the struts supporting the bearing housings of gas turbines
  • When the probe cable passes through the exhaust channels of gas turbines
  • Monitoring faulty bearings in high-temperature regions
  • Modal shape analysis at mid-span locations in steam and gas turbines for online mechanical diagnostics
  • Measurement of interstage radial and axial seal clearances at mid-span locations in multi-stage steam turbines to minimize seal friction
  • Most high-temperature bearing locations could damage conventional proximity probes

 

The 3300 XL High Temperature Proximity Sensor System can be used for proximity measurements at high-temperature locations with excellent results. Advantages include: Proximity probes with integrated hard-wired cable rated for +350°C (+662°F) for continuous operation under extreme conditions; a 4 mm (160 mil) linear range suitable for most high-temperature components in measuring machines; a sealed ceramic probe tip to prevent moisture and contaminant ingress, enhancing durability; a ceramic tip and stainless steel construction for heat, moisture, and corrosion resistance; threaded and smooth housing styles for various probe mounting types; hard-wired cable lengths of 1 meter, 2 meters, and 5 meters for navigating high-temperature machine components; and a 3.94 V/mm (100 mV/mil) signal output compatible with virtually all new and existing Bently Nevada monitors and diagnostic equipment.
