Function & Details	23BA20 GSNE000700R5312 is an ABB Binary Output Board. The board has 16 output relays. Two groups of eight contacts share a common return. This allows the output channels to be assigned to two different process voltage sources. The 23BA20 board can be used with either single-pole or bipolar outputs, requiring different wiring. Functionally, the 23BA20 board can be used without any configuration or with any configuration. The board's internal I/O microcontroller (EAP Input/Output Processor) commands output requests to activate any outputs forced by the communication unit's VAP. The EAP checks and monitors all outputs using various test and monitoring functions: Reads the output mode before output activation. Monitors the 24 V DC output relay from the backplane bus to the switch while the output is active. Controls pulse duration. Any detected error is indicated by LED indicators, including: The "ST" LED indicates a board error or peripheral bus error. These include the board performing its initialization routine; the board undergoing a cold or warm boot; the board detecting a memory error (RAM or EPROM); a microcontroller failure; no communication via the peripheral bus for at least 2 minutes; or the board not being polled by the CMU's PBP. The "PST" LED indicates command output errors. These include a failure of the 24 V DC power supply to the output relays during a command output; a PBP timeout during an active output; and any active output being inactive (off). The "CO" LED indicates that at least one output relay is open. This LED is connected directly to the 24 V DC supply. CO is illuminated when the output is active (pulsing or continuous).
