The 163179-02 is a Bently Nevada 3500/61 Temperature Monitor. The 3500/60 and 3500/61 modules provide six channels of temperature monitoring and accept temperature inputs from resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermocouples (TCs). The modules regulate the input and compare it to user-programmable alarm setpoints. The 3500/60 and 3500/61 are functionally identical, the difference being that the 3500/61 provides a recorder output for each of its six channels, while the 3500/60 does not. Different I/O modules are available in non-isolated RTD/TC versions and isolated TC versions. Users can configure the non-isolated RTD/TC version to accept TC or RTD inputs, or a mixture of TC and RTD inputs. The isolated TC version provides 250Vdc of inter-channel isolation to prevent external interference. In a Triple Module Redundancy (TMR) configuration, temperature monitors must be installed in groups of three, adjacent to each other. In this configuration, the system employs two voting mechanisms to ensure accurate operation and avoid single points of failure.
