Part 2 Pressure Sensors
When accurate and operable data on various pressure states of all industrial machinery within a factory (including ATEX-protected areas, hazardous locations, or harsh environments) is required, the Bently Nevada series of industrial oil and gas pressure sensors and pressure transmitter systems provides peace of mind. Bently Nevada pressure sensors can detect both static and dynamic pressure, have a long service life (over 50 million cycles), and can operate in high-humidity environments. They have a wide range of applications, covering various equipment such as water turbines, centrifugal pumps, and reciprocating compressor cylinders. All products operate stably in high humidity and harsh chemical environments. Pressure sensors mainly include two types.
1. Cylinder Pressure Sensor and Transmitter
The 165855 cylinder pressure sensor is optimized for measuring cyclic absolute pressure changes within the cylinders of reciprocating compressors. It integrates with our 3500/77M cylinder pressure monitor and System 1 condition monitoring software and must be compatible with the gas pressure or fluid type in which the sensor operates. This robust sensor provides accurate pressure readings even after prolonged continuous operation under large pressure gradients.
2. Piezoresistive Pressure Sensor (Pressure Pulsation)
The 350300 dynamic pressure sensor provides dynamic (high-frequency waveform) measurements for turbine or pump monitoring. Utilizing piezoresistive technology, it measures pressure pulsations up to 2 kHz. This sensor detects rough load areas, hydraulic phenomena such as eddies and cavitation in the tailrace and sump regions, as well as pulsations in the intake manifold. It can also detect cavitation and other flow instabilities that can damage machinery and operation.

Part 3 Velocity Sensors and Accelerometers
Bently Nevada's accelerometers, speedometers, and other acceleration and velocity sensing tools are equipped with a variety of functions and can withstand extreme temperatures, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments and space-constrained locations. Velocity sensors are self-powered and radiation-resistant, while accelerometers are protected against electrical hazards and offer portable data acquisition capabilities. Key features include extreme temperature resistance, flexibility and reliability, radiation resistance, low-frequency sensing, electrical isolation, monitoring of gear meshing frequencies, and full compatibility with portable data acquisition devices.
1. Accelerometers and Dedicated Accelerometers
1.1 330400/330425 Accelerometers/Accelerometers and other housing-type accelerometers provide acceleration measurements in g or m/s². The sensors have a standardized output voltage proportional to the magnitude of the acceleration, are compatible with a variety of condition monitoring solutions, and can detect vibration frequencies from 0.2 to 14,000 Hz.
1.2. The 20015x accelerometers, such as the 200150, 200155, and 200157 models, are general-purpose, wide-frequency, housing-mounted seismic sensors designed for use with Trendmaster proTIM.
1.3. 200355 Accelerometer
1.4. The AM series accelerometers are general-purpose housing-mounted seismic sensors designed for use with Trendmaster Pro Constant Current Direct Input Cards (part number 149811-02) and Seismic Direct Input Cards (part number 164746-01). The AM series accelerometers feature a sealed stainless steel housing, making them extremely robust and durable, ideal for harsh industrial environments. Each sensor has a 2-pin connector (compliant with MIL-C-5015) on the top for easy installation and removal of signal cables. A ¼-28 threaded hole on the bottom of the housing allows for various mounting options. The AM series accelerometers incorporate a piezoelectric sensing element that generates an electrical charge upon vibration. The charge is then converted by electrons into a differential voltage signal, which is proportional to the acceleration parallel to the sensor's sensitive axis.
The Bently Nevada Seismoprobe velocity sensor system is designed to measure absolute vibration (relative to free space) of bearing housings, housings, or structures. This two-wire system consists of a sensor and a corresponding cable. The Seismoprobe series of velocity sensors uses a moving-coil two-wire design, providing a voltage output proportional to the sensor's vibration velocity. Compared to solid-state velocity sensors (essentially accelerometers with embedded integrated electronics), moving-coil sensors are less sensitive to shock or pulse excitation. Moving-coil sensors are a good choice for certain applications. They are convenient for portable measurement applications because they do not require an external power supply.
1.5 The 9200 is a two-wire sensor suitable for continuous monitoring or periodic measurements when used with test or diagnostic instruments. With the optional integrated cable, the 9200 maintains excellent corrosion resistance in corrosive environments without additional protection.
1.6 The 74712 is the high-temperature sensor model of the 9200.
1.7 The 370300 accelerometer is designed to provide high electrical isolation between the sensor base and its internal electronics. This isolation effectively protects against arcing/electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 6,000 volts. The sensor has a peak amplitude range of 80 g and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g.
1.8 The 350900 High Temperature Velocity and Accelerometer Sensor (HTVAS) provides continuous acceleration and velocity outputs, allowing users to acquire acceleration signals for machine diagnostics while simultaneously protecting the machine with velocity signals. This sensor is primarily used with 3500/42M and 3500/44M displays. When connecting the HTVAS to a 3500/42M or 3500/44M display, the sensor's acceleration and velocity signals must be connected to different channel pairs (e.g., channels 1 and 3) or different displays, respectively.
